Use of the website and making a reservation implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Role of the site and the parties

Discover Venice by Boatdoes not directly provide boat rental services, but operates as anintermediary platformbetween:

  • thecustomer/usermaking the reservation;
  • the owner of the boataffiliated with the Venice Commercial Leisure Consortium.

The Consortium exclusively manages theonline booking phase and the collection of the confirmation deposit.
Theactual rental contractis finalized directly between the customer and the owner of the selected boat.

3. Booking and payment methods

  1. At the time of booking, the customer pays acommission on the total priceof the service via the online payment system (WooCommerce, PayPal, or credit card).
    • This amount is collected byDiporto Commerciale Veneziaas an intermediary.
  2. The balance must be paiddirectly to the boat owneron the day of departure or according to the methods indicated by him (e.g., cash, bank transfer, other).
  3. All the information needed to complete the booking is sent to the customer by email after the order has been confirmed.

4. Cancellations, changes, and no-shows

  • If the customerfails to show upon the agreed date and time, thedeposit paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes or cancellations must be requestedby emailatinfo@discovervenicebyboat.com.
  • The boat will wait for the customer for a maximum of 15 minutes after the agreed time. After this time, if the customer has not arrived, the boat will be free to return to its mooring, the deposit paid will not be refunded, and the trip will be canceled.
  • The total or partial refund of the deposit, in the event of cancellation with advance notice, is at the discretion of the Consortium or the owner, according to the specific conditions communicated.
  • The customer may request a100% refund up to 10 days beforethe start of the trip.

If the boat operator considers that it may be dangerous to carry out the excursion in conditions that are not suitable for safe operation, the trip may be suspended at any time and rescheduled according to the operator’s availability.

5. User obligations

The user agrees to:

  • provide truthful and complete information during the booking process;
  • arrive punctually at the agreed meeting point;
  • comply with safety and conduct rules on board;
  • do not use the service for illegal or dangerous activities.

6. Liability

  • TheConsorzio Diporto Commerciale Veneziaacts exclusively as a technical and administrative intermediary for the management of reservations and deposit payments.
  • Theboat owneris solely responsible for the quality, safety, and proper execution of the charter service.
  • The Consortium cannot be held responsible for anyaccidents, damage, delays, cancellations, route changes, or weather conditionsthat may affect the customer’s experience.
  • Under no circumstances shall the Consortium be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, or other economic consequences arising from the use of the services.

7. Prices

All prices shown on the website are in euros (€) and may include VAT, unless otherwise indicated.
The Consortium reserves the right to change prices at any time, provided that the rates applied will be those in force at the time of the confirmed booking.

8. Personal data

The data collected during the booking process is processed in accordance with thePrivacy Policyavailable on the website.
By confirming the order, the user declares that they have read and fully accept the Privacy Policy.

9. Complaints

Any complaints regarding the service must be sent toinfo@discovervenicebyboat.comwithin 5 days of the date of booking or service.
The Consortium will liaise with the owner to handle the complaint.

10. Jurisdiction and applicable law

These Terms and Conditions are governed byItalian law.
Any dispute relating to the interpretation or execution of the contract shall be settled exclusively by theCourt of Venice (Italy).

11. Changes

Discover Venice by Boat reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
The modifications will be effective from the moment they are published on the website.
